FGC Gathering Privacy Policy
Via online registration for the Gathering of Friends, FGC collects the e-mail address, mailing address, and phone numbers of registrants. The information we collect is used to communicate with registered Friends about the Gathering that they have registered for. It is also used for the following purposes.
Use of email addresses: We will use your Billing email address to contact you about the Gathering for which you have just registered.
We will use Attenders’ email addresses for the Gathering Attenders List. You can choose not to be included on the Gathering Attenders list by not giving us your email address within Attenders (or High School, or Junior Gathering) Information sections. You may also review the List during on-site check-in, or on Sunday and Monday at the Information Desk.
We will use Attenders’ and Billing email addresses to send you occasional information about future Gatherings and other FGC programs. When we send you the first of these emails, you will have the opportunity to specify what types of emails you wish to receive from FGC. You may at that time also opt out of all informational emails from FGC. You may opt out of such emails now by e-mailing us you preferences at gath...@fgcquaker.org.
We do not sell or trade email lists to any other organization or company.
Use of postal addresses: We do not sell or trade our mailing lists to any other organization or company, although we do share lists within Friends General Conference. As a result you may receive information from Development, QuakerBooks, small conferences or other programs of FGC. If you do not wish to receive such mailings or only wish to receive FGC Gathering mailings, please let us know by contacting us, as specified in the following paragraph.
Use of phone numbers: The Billing Information phone number will be used to contact you about your registration. Telephone numbers included in the Attenders (or High School, or Junior Gathering) Information section will be included in the Gathering Attenders List which will be available to Gathering attenders and others via the Bookstore. We occasionally use phone numbers to solicit previous donors to FGC. Opportunity to review and edit Gathering Attenders List: During on-site check-in at the Gathering, or at the Information desk on Sunday and Monday, you may remove or correct your phone number, postal address or email address from the draft Gathering Attenders List.
Privacy Policy may change: From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.
Third Party Arrangement with Thriva. FGC contracts with Thriva to maintain the Gathering database. Their privacy policy is included at the end of each online registration, and is available from FGC upon request.
