Full Description

During this week we will knit together using the natural meditative quality of knitting as a centering tool.  We will read each other stories, poems, writings that inspire us.  Bring any inspirational materials you care to share with the group.  We will knit squares to be put together into an afghan which will given to a person chosen by the group.  If you wish to get a head start on the afghan, knit a 6 inch square in a machine washable yarn and bring it with you.  In addition to the afghan, we will work on personal knitting projects either brought from home or patterns which I will bring.  If you are interested in my patterns (hat, mittens, scarf, socks) bring worsted weight yarn and 2 circular needles of the size suggested on the yarn wrapper (probably size 7).  If you want to try a new project of your own, bring the directions, yarn and needles and I will help you get started.
