Long Description:

This workshop will focus on how we create spiritual lives - how we co-create with the Divine: the relationships, vocation and Friends Meetings that we desire in our lives. We will look at the ideas of: abundance vs scarcity, tuning into leadings and spiritual guidance, obstacles to faithfulness, knowing our spiritual purpose in life and aligning with it.
My expectations and objectives for the week are that a worship sharing community is created in which participants can look at the things they long for and how to unite with Spirit in creating those things, how to listen to The Creator in understanding that which Spirit would have us do, and how to understand more clearly the spiritual purpose of our life and how to stay aligned with that purpose. Things to bring: Your hopes and dreams and leadings.
The format will include spiritual or prayer partners, worship sharing in 4's each day on these topics, some group discussion and some experiential exercises as well as silent worship each day. When looking at the percentages below please understand that while worship and worship sharing are lumped together by the Gathering - they will not be in my workshop. We will have an hour of worship sharing/discussion in groups of four for four out of five days, and 20 minutes of whole group worship each day. We will also have whole group discussion/sharing/reporting each day. We will also be doing an exercise all week on the manifesting and noticing of Grace which previous participants have very much enjoyed.
It is amazing how things simplify when we are clear about our spiritual purpose in life (Yes there really are tools for figuring that out). It is also helpful to know our spiritual obstacles and ways around those and to be held in prayer by others around those obstacles. It is helpful to learn how to hear the Divine whisperings in our life.
A close and safe community for sharing is created that more than one workshop participant has referred to as life changing. My leadership style is not one of teacher or lecturer, but of facilitator of spiritual exploration by the group. My workshops do involve a lot of voluntary sharing of personal information and feelings by participants. I welcome all participants but if one is not comfortable with such personal sharing this might not be an appropriate workshop for you.
Here are some books I will reference during the workshop. The reading of them in not required, however the reading of them before or afterwards may enrich and deepen your experience. In no particular order:
The Novel or Movie; The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield
The Tenth Insight by James Redfield
The Secret of Shambhala by James Redfield
The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer
Wayne Dyer PBS series on intention
The Movie the Secret
Wishcraft by Barabara Sher
A Wish Can Change Your Life by Gahl Sasson and Steve Weinstein
Move your Stuff, Change your Life by Karen Rauch Carter & Jeff Fessler
The Testament of Devotion by Thomas Kelly
