JOB OPPORTUNITY: Communications and Technology Associate

Paid Position

FGC is seeking a new Communications and Technology Associate. 

This is a new, full-time position.  

The Communications and Technology Associate will work closely with the Associate Secretary for Communications, Publications and Outreach and other FGC staff to support ongoing communications work across the organization.  This work will be guided by FGC’s minute of purpose, major goals and associated programs. It will include substantial work in Drupal with FGC’s primary website, www.fgcquaker.org, in Salesforce which is our primary database, and with a variety of related web tools.

This position will play a role supporting FGC programs to use the web and social media for effective communications as well as participating in broader strategic communications efforts. Familiarity with the web and a high level of comfort with computers and online communications will be important, but the position does not require a high level of technical skills. 

Communications, including live-streaming and social media, at the FGC Gathering is another important duty.

The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating technical support with various vendors and with purchasing needed software and hardware. The person in this role will also be a part of FGC’s staff Tech Team.

This is a full-time position with health and retirement benefits based in FGC’s Philadelphia office.  This position reports to the Associate Secretary for Communications, Publications, and Outreach. The hoped for start date is July 1.
