Carolyn Mann has been a creative artist, seamstress, and quilter for most of her life. Her art has been displayed in countless exhibits and museum shows around Ohio and beyond. Her recent banners in celebration of women’s suffrage are stunning and will be included in the exhibit (details below), March 5, 6, 7, at the North Columbus Friends Meetinghouse, 1954 Indianola Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43210. Peace and Social Action Committee at North Columbus Friends Meeting is hosting a “Civil Rights Teach-In” to be presented on Martin Luther King Jr Day (January 18) to recognize and honor unsung civil rights heroes and heroines.
There is still time to register for L.E.Y.M.’s first Discussion Forum focusing on peace, justice and earthcare issues next Saturday, December 5th from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. This forum is open to all members and attenders of monthly meetings. North Columbus Friends Meeting offers the following resources to those interested in being and/or recruiting poll workers ahead of the election and on election day 2020. These resources are just a sampling of what's available in the community.
Franklin County Board of Elections Ohio law requires that Democrats and Republicans have equal representation at each voting location. Registered unaffiliated voters can also work as a poll worker. The board will employ around 3,200 poll workers to staff Franklin County’s 346 Election Day voting locations.
