What's New on the Quaker Cloud?

Public ContentAnyone can view this post

As we approach the second anniversary of the Quaker Cloud, and celebrate our 100th meeting joining the Cloud what’s new to some meetings may be old news to others, so I’ll just hit on some of the highlights since launch.

Major additions since launch

  • Tools for committees - a private place on the cloud for your committees to coordinate their work.  If you’d like to setup a committee, contact Cloud Support.

  • The member/attender directory - promised since launch, this feature is now available.  If you’d like to jump start loading your member/attender data, contact Cloud Support.

What’s coming next?

  • Improvements to the member/attender management tool

  • Ability for Cloud Admins to update/edit members directory info

  • We are exploring integrating with Google Groups to provide a listserve feature

Bug reports

Occasionally security updates and new features produce bugs - updates on two recent bugs you may have run into:

  • Resolved - some pages were losing the meeting name from their web address.  We are working on a bulk fix to restore the web address of pages affected by this, but we have identified and resolved the underlying problem, so it will not happen again.

  • Resolved - On some pages, the image crop tool wasn’t appearing and image were loading uncropped.  If you notice this problem on any of your pages, just click edit and re-crop your photo.

As always, if you run into either of these bugs again, or any other bugs, please contact us a cloud support.
