Friends Journal has articles about New England Yearly Meeting and Intermountain Yearly Meeting who have both successfully used Pay as Led for their annual sessions. It’s allowed more people to attend, has been financially viable, and has strengthened their understanding of what it means to be a faith based organization. Our hope is that offering Pay as Led for the Virtual Gathering will remove cost as a barrier to attendance while strengthening the community. It will also give FGC much needed information to discern if Pay as Led might be a viable option for future Gatherings.

How do I figure out what to pay?
Pay as Led is a method of offering sliding scale pricing. We have three price categories, as well as a fourth option, “Choose Your Price,” where you can write-in a different price that you wish to pay.  The categories provide information for your choice. We ask that you prayerfully consider your financial resources and the value you believe the Gathering brings to your life and to Friends. Based on this personal reflection, we invite you to pay as you are led, and to make any donation that feels appropriate to you.

How will this work in Registration?
On the registration form, after you select your Event Package, you can select any one of these 4 fee categories: Abundant Sharing, Traditional Fee, Limited Resources or Choose your Price.

La Reunión Virtual 2020: el Pago Según su Guianza Espiritual

Por primera vez, FGC ofrecerá interpretación simultánea en español durante los programas vespertinos en la Reunión Virtual este año. Debido a un equipo de interpretes voluntarixs*, ofrecemos la interpretación en español el Domingo 28/6, Lunes 29/6, Martes 30/6 y Jueves 2/7 de las 8:00-9:30 PM EDT. FGC planea tomar más pasos a crear oportunidades para la justicia de lenguaje en nuestros eventos y programas.

Para la Reunión Virtual del 2020 les invitamos a contribuir de acuerdo a lo que su generosidad dicte. Esto significa que usted decidirá la cantidad que se sienta guiadx a contribuir para asistir a la Reunión Virtual. El Pago Según su Guianza Espiritual es un proceso que reconoce que la riqueza no está distribuida de una forma igualitaria entre lxs Cuáquerxs. Como no tendremos una Reunión en persona este año, la Reunión Virtual representa una oportunidad única para probar este sistema y dejar a lxs Amigxs determinar sus propios precios.

Friends Journal (Revista de lxs Amigxs) tiene varios artículos sobre las Juntas Anuales de Nueva Inglaterra y de Entremontaña, quienes han usado este método con éxito en sus sesiones anuales. Esto ha permitido que asistan más personas, ha sido económicamente viable y ha reforzado su visión sobre lo que significa ser una organización religiosa. Esperamos que ofrecer esta opción para la Reunión Virtual elimine la barrera del costo y fortalezca nuestra comunidad. También proporcionará información importante a la Conferencia General de Amigxs (FGC) para poder decidir si puede ser una opción viable para futuras reuniones.

¿Cómo decido lo que debo pagar?
El Pago Según su Guianza Espiritual es el método de ofrecer una tarifa variable de precios. Tenemos tres categorías de precios, así como una cuarta opción para “Escoger el Precio” en donde usted puede elegir el precio que quiera pagar. Las otras tres categorías contienen montos sugeridos. Pedimos que usted considere en oración los recursos financieros que tenga y el valor que cree que la Reunión traerá a su vida y a la comunidad de lxs Amigxs. Con base en esta reflexión personal, le invitamos a que usted pague lo que pueda y que haga la donación que sea apropiada para usted.

¿Cómo funciona en la inscripción?
En el formato de registro/inscripción, después de seleccionar su Paquete de Eventos puede seleccionar una de las 4 opciones: Porción Abundante, Costo Tradicional, Recursos Limitados o Escoja su Precio.
